Autonomous Supply Chain Planning : The Building Blocks (2 of 2)

Autonomous Supply Chain Planning has three fundamental layers.

The first one is the sensory layer. This layer is the eyes and ears of the organization. It senses the disruptions in the ecosystem and transmits those disruptions to the organization. Typically, the Control Tower acts as the sensory layer.

The second one is the intelligence layer. This is the brain behind managing the disruptions. The Integrated Planning and Optimization solution, which is the DSS layer, takes these disruptions and spits out the mitigation plan.

The third layer then takes this mitigation plan and converts it to actionable items like Alerts, Reports, Dashboards, email and SMS notifications.

All these three layers working together ensure that any disruption in the eco-system is recorded, accessed, and mitigated. Making this entire process seamless is what Autonomous Supply Chain Planning is all about.
